I have a background in modern microbiology, molecular biology, marine biology, and ecology. My research focuses on food microbiology and microbial ecology, with a particular interest in understanding metabolic and synergistic interactions within microbial communities.

By integrating computational biology approaches, from genomics to genome-scale metabolic modeling, I aim to advance knowledge on microbial community resilience and the ecological roles of spore-forming microorganisms in food systems, particularly in vegetable-based products. My long-term goal is to translate microbiological and bioinformatic insights into tools and frameworks that promote sustainable food production and deepen our understanding of how microbial life functions and adapts in a changing environment.
